High precision blood
cells cause a paradigm
shift in evaluation.

We will solve a variety of challenges in conventional safety studies and drastically streamline various evaluation studies with our new methods established only because of pure and homogeneous blood cells.

Contract evaluation service

We also provide various evaluation contract services using high precision blood cell products for drugs and functional materials. You can select and design the blood cells freely, and the high precision and efficient evaluation will greatly reduce your time and cost.

 Efficacy evaluation

We can evaluate the efficacies of drugs and functional materials quickly with high precision.

Evaluation of drug effects and efficacy

We can measure the response of cells to drugs and functional materials with high precision. Speedy and reliable evaluation greatly accelerates the development of drugs and materials.

Safety Evaluation

We can reduce the time and cost of various studies based on alternative method to animal testing.

Pyrogen test

Skin sensitization assay

Our method is superior in the reliability of results and ease of investigation compared with the h-CLAT.

Our method shows similar sensitizing property and stability to in vivo cells compared with those using existing cells (mono-mac-6).

Efficacy evaluation

We can measure cell responses with high precision, greatly facilitating the development of pharmaceutical products.

We can measure cell responses with high precision by quantifying command substances released from Mylc after the addition of test compounds. Cost and time can be greatly reduced because of the simplicity of the method. Cells with identical genes are always available, which enables consistent results to be achieved in a series of experiments. In addition, application of uMylc with specific characteristics of diseases is attracting attention as a promising pharmacological study method. In many ways, high precision blood cells greatly accelerate the development of pharmaceutical products.

Efficacy study with LPS and SAC

Our cells respond to model substances in efficacy studies (LPS, SAC) with high sensitivity.

Safety evaluation

On various studies based on alternative methods to animal testing, we can greatly reduce the time and cost.

In test methods based on alternative methods to animal testing, there used to be various challenges based on the differences between the cells used* and normal human in vivo cells, such as low accuracy of results, high cost, and lengthy time. MiCAN’s new method can quantify substances released by stimulation such as transmitters and cytokines because it uses only pure myeloid cells derived from iPS cells. This method drastically increases the reliability of test results and allows a wide variety of evaluation designs. The time and cost for measurement are greatly reduced. This is an epoch-making evaluation service contributing to fast production development.

Skin sensitization assay

For the standard 10 compounds of the h-CLAT (P1 – N10), similar results to those in model cells (LLNA) can be obtained. Time and cost can be drastically reduced because our method is free from the time-consuming procedures and confirmation required in the h-CLAT.

Comparison study with the h-CLAT.

Our method showed consistent responses to compounds to which inconsistent responses were observed between CD86 and CD54 in the h-CLAT, and our results were similar to those in LLNA.

Pyrogen test

Mylc, which shows similar response to in vivo cells, is superior in sensitivity in sensitization and stability compared with model cells (Mono-Mac-6, etc.) used in alternative methods to animal testing.

Comparison study with the Mono-Mac-6.

Comparison study in IL-6 production assay, in which a pyrogen (LPS) was added. (expressed in OD) In Mylc-2 (blue circle), the production was detectable at lower concentrations than in Mono-Mac-6 (orange circle), indicating a higher response.
