Visit by Heidelberg Mayor Dr. Eckart Würzner (MiCAN
Technologies EUROPA)

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Heidelberg Mayor Eckart Würzner
visited BioLabs Heidelberg, our European development hub and startup
support facility.
The mayor encouraged the activities of startups and welcomed the
entry of our Kyoto-based startup, MiCAN Technologies.

The City of Heidelberg’s Economic Development Department
(Wirtschaftsförderung) is actively engaged in startup support and
network building, and has shown a positive attitude toward
collaboration.

Our company is developing the MAT kit ‘MylcMAT’ using immortalized
blood cell-derived immune cells, and aims to collaborate with local
medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies.

It was a valuable opportunity to exchange opinions with the mayor
about our current activities, the challenges we face, and the possibilities
ahead.
